The boys’ varsity basketball team defeated Springfield 45-34 on Friday night.
In the first quarter, the Pioneers fell behind as Springfield led with a score of 11-7. However, during the second quarter, the boys caught up and managed to gain a two-point lead, bringing the score to 18-16.
The boys maintained their momentum in the third quarter, entering the final quarter with a score of 30-20. The Pioneers’ strong offense and defense prevailed, and they secured a 45-34 win.
The team will play against Harriton on Thursday, Jan. 18.
