The Conestoga boys’ soccer team took the 2023 PIAA 4A State Champion title after beating Central Bucks South High School on Friday night.

In the rain, throughout the first half of the game both the Pioneers and the Titans kept a strong defense to keep the score at 0-0. Both teams’ goalies saved several shots throughout the half.

Nearly 5 minutes into the second half of the game, Central Bucks South scored and kept the score at 1-0 until Senior Brady Costin scored for the Pioneers with 18:30 left in the half. The second half ended at 1-1, bringing the boys to overtime.

In the first round of overtime, both teams kept the score at 1-1. The boys then moved into a sudden victory round in which senior Ryan Zellefrow scored the Pioneers’ final goal, ending the game at 2-1.
