Girls lacrosse overwhelms Upper Darby 16-1

While celebrating Senior Night, the girls’ varsity lacrosse team defeated Upper Darby 16-1 on Tuesday, April 23. 

Conestoga quickly took the lead, scoring a total of seven goals in the first quarter. Seniors Emma Nikolic, Carly Patterer, Samantha Meaney and Kiki Liebezeit scored goals in the second quarter to make the score 11-0.

In the third quarter, the Pioneers widened their lead to 15-0. After a goal by freshman Bianca Antonacci in the final quarter, Upper Darby scored in the last 20 seconds to make the final score 16-1.

The team will next compete against Lower Merion on Thursday, April 25.
