Field Hockey beats Great Valley 4-1 in district quarterfinals

On Friday, the girls’ varsity field hockey team defeated Great Valley 4-1 in the quarterfinals of the PIAA District 1 3A Field Hockey Championship.

In the first quarter, neither team scored any goals as the ball alternated across the field. Freshman Peyton Esposito scored two goals in the second quarter, giving Conestoga the lead. 

In the third quarter, the girls maintained their lead, and senior Addie DelOrefice scored another goal. In the fourth quarter, Great Valley scored one goal, and Esposito scored one goal, securing a 4-1 victory for Conestoga.

The girls will play in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1.
