Field hockey wins 4-1 in second round of district playoffs

The girls’ varsity field hockey team beat Spring-Ford 4-1 on Wednesday in the second round of PIAA District 1 3A Field Hockey Championship. 

Both teams went back and forth during the first quarter, scoring no goals. In the second quarter, junior Shae Wozniak was able to score the first two goals, giving Conestoga the lead. Later on, freshman Peyton Esposito also scored two goals in the third quarter. The team maintained the lead, only letting Spring-Ford score one goal in the fourth quarter and ending with a 4-1 win. 

The girls will play in the third round of districts on Friday, Oct. 27.
