Girls soccer defeats Radnor 2-1 on Senior Night

The girls’ varsity soccer team beat Radnor 2-1 on Tuesday while celebrating Senior Night. The team honored 14 seniors: Nia Alleyne, Chloe Brown, Aly Buraks, Marisa Francione, Tory Gauthier, Harley Karbiner, Katie Klaiber, Katie Logan, Emily Mauro, Izzy Sellig, Eva Stagnaro, Greta Steege, Marah Walton and Natalie Yarmark.

The team had a rough start in the first half of the game as Radnor scored the first goal. Following halftime, the team made a comeback as junior Keira Kemmerley scored the first goal for ’Stoga. The game went into overtime, and sophomore Kate Kemmerley scored another goal  during the last three minutes, winning the game 2-1.

After the game, players enjoyed celebratory cakes at a special stand dedicated to their seniors. The girls end their regular fall season with an overall record of 15-2, closing out as Central League champions.
