The boys’ varsity football team lost to Father Judge 35-7 on Friday during its rainy Senior Night football game.

Before the game, Sonny DiMartini walked across the field to celebrate his recent induction into the Conestoga Football Hall of Fame as the football team and cheerleaders honored their seniors.

In the first half of the game, Father Judge scored four touchdowns and extra points despite the weather, bringing the score to 28-0 by halftime. In the third quarter, the Pioneers began to recover as senior Jude Cook scored a touchdown and junior Jack Steigerwald secured an extra point, bringing the score to 28-7. Despite the improved score, Father Judge maintained its strong lead and scored another touchdown and extra point in the final quarter, beating Conestoga 35-7.

The Pioneers will play their last home game of the season against Garnet Valley on Friday, Oct. 13.
