Boys basketball wins home opener 64-56

The boys’ varsity basketball team played its home opener on Tuesday night against Ridley, winning 64-56.

The boys started strong, establishing an early lead of 18-10 by the end of the first quarter. In the following quarter, they managed to keep the momentum going, entering halftime ahead 28-26.

Both teams went back and forth during the third quarter. Throughout the game, sophomore Rowan Miller and senior Brendan Styer led the team across the court, scoring multiple points. 

The Pioneers entered the fourth quarter up 41-38. By the last two minutes, the score was 54-50, and the boys focused on defending. With a strong offense and defense, they won with a final score of 64-56. 

The team will play against Lower Merion on Thursday, Dec. 14.
