On Saturday, the girls’ lacrosse team lost to Henderson 8-7.
Conestoga started with an early lead, scoring five goals in the first half. Sophomores Julia Cowgill and Brooke Bickel and seniors Carolyn Jones and Maggie Neary each scored, giving ’Stoga a 5-2 halftime lead.
In the second half, Henderson made a comeback and scored five goals. The Pioneers continued to play strong defense and goals from junior Lu Misener and Jones tied the game. The game went into a sudden-death overtime where Henderson scored to secure an 8-7 win.
The team will play their next game on April 28 against Harriton.
