Caps and gowns filled Teamer Field on Tuesday as the graduating class of 2026 celebrated its annual commencement ceremony. The ceremony began at 6 p.m. with a procession of Conestoga faculty, followed by speeches from principal Dr. Amy Meisinger, Superintendent Dr. Richard Gusick and school board president Susan Tiede.
Two selected graduates delivered commencement speeches: “Full Circle” by Fure Abhulimen and “Standing at the Start of Everything” by Rayan Irani. Following the speeches, senior class vice president Lexi Lenehan and treasurer Bradley Zhang announced the class gift, which includes new furniture for the atrium and cafeteria.
An electronic system announced graduates’ names as Gusick, Meisinger and assistant principal Dr. Patrick Boyle presented diplomas. After the final graduate crossed the stage, Meisinger signaled the end of the ceremony. Graduates erupted in cheers and tossed their caps into the air, turning Teamer Field into a sea of garnet.
