On Tuesday, the girls’ basketball team won 59-43 in the Central League Championship against Haverford.
During the first quarter, Haverford was in the lead against Conestoga 16-10. Conestoga made three fouls, and Haverford made two.
In the second quarter, ’Stoga played one foul and Haverford played two. By halftime, Conestoga had caught up and the score was tied 26-26.
During the third quarter, Conestoga made three fouls and so did Haverford. In the last few seconds of the third quarter, Conestoga scored a basket.
In the fourth and final quarter, multiple timeouts were called. Haverford made another two fouls allowing Conestoga to make free throws to finish up the game and secure its victory. At the end of the fourth quarter, Conestoga won against Haverford with a score of 59-43.
