The girls’ basketball team defeated Ridley 64-20 on Friday.
At the start of the first quarter, Conestoga scored seconds into the game and kept the momentum going with another quick basket. A few minutes later, senior Ryann Jennings scored and allowed the girls to extend their lead. By the end of the quarter, Conestoga had established a 26-3 lead.
Early in the second quarter, the girls kept the energy going with several more baskets. Ridley gained a few points on free throws, but Conestoga answered immediately, sending the team into halftime with a 41-8 lead.
In the third quarter, Conestoga continued to dominate on both ends of the court. The girls maintained strong defense and made continuous shots, bringing The Pioneers up 59-16 by the end of the quarter.
During the last quarter, Conestoga added a few more points and secured their victory, emerging with a 64-20 win.
