On Friday, the boys’ ice hockey team secured a decisive win against Lower Merion, beating the Aces 9-0.
The Pioneers opened the game with three goals in the first period, establishing an early lead. Junior and goaltender Max Haimson made many saves and prevented Lower Merion from scoring.
During the second period, senior Aydan Meyer quickly scored a goal with the assistance of junior Henry Spottiswoode. Spottiswoode added two goals of his own within a one-minute span later in the period. Junior Sawyer Getz scored another goal in the period with an assist from junior Sebastiano Di Zazzo, bringing the score to 7-0.
In the third period, the boys continued a commanding offense and maintained possession of the puck for the majority of the time. Spottiswoode and sophomore Ethan Rotwitt scored one goal each before Conestoga won the game 9-0.
The boys will play their next game on Friday, Jan. 23 against Radnor.
