Boys basketball loses 49-48 to Neshaminy

The boys’ varsity basketball team played Neshaminy on Monday, losing 49-48.

Conestoga secured an early 12-10 lead in the first quarter, with baskets scored by sophomore Cory Hogan and junior Ben Robinson. They helped ’Stoga maintain its momentum through the second quarter as it entered halftime up 28-20. 

Senior Westin Fryberger scored points in the third quarter, helping the Pioneers hold on to a 35-31 lead. In the fourth quarter, the two teams went back and forth, but after some free throws, Conestoga led by five points with 16 seconds left. Neshaminy got the ball back with 0.6 seconds to go in the game, scoring a half court buzzer beater and securing a win of 49-48 over Conestoga.

The boys will play their next game against Lower Merion on Tuesday, Jan. 30.
