Jeffrey Heng, Co-Managing Editor
Jeffrey Heng is a senior and Co-Managing Editor of The Spoke. He previously served as Co-Opinion Editor. He covers news with his Canon R50 and runs an op-ed column called “Jeff’s Gist”, with themes ranging from community and social justice to brain rot and nonsense satires. Outside of The Spoke, he is an editor and photographer at the Bullhorn News, has contributed pieces to The Stanford Daily and The Philadelphia Inquirer, and represented Pennsylvania at the Asian American Journalist Association’s 2025 JCamp cohort in Seattle. Beyond the newsroom, he leads the Asian Student Alliance at Conestoga and works with the non-profit organizations Asian Americans United, Ginger Arts Center, New Voters, Make Us Visible and the Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia. He loves networking and being in Philadelphia, especially when it comes to the Save Chinatown movement. He runs a media account on Instagram (@jeffsgistmedia) and is a profound enthusiast of fanny packs and brain teasers like the Rock Game.
