Jeffrey Heng, Co-Managing Editor
Jeffrey Heng is a junior and Co-Managing Editor for The Spoke. He previously served as a Co-Opinion Editor. He covers news with his Canon R50 and runs an op-ed column called “Jeff’s Gist,” where he discusses themes ranging from community and social justice to brain rot and nonsense satires. Beyond the newsroom, he is a board member of the Asian Student Alliance, a lead team member of Sixers Against Sixers Arena in Philadelphia and works with non-profit organizations Asian Americans United, Ginger Arts Center, Make Us Visible PA and the Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia. He loves networking and being in Philadelphia especially when it comes to the Save Chinatown movement. He has contributed pieces to The Philadelphia Inquirer, runs a media account on Instagram (@jeffsgistmedia) and is a profound enthusiast of frogs, fanny packs, puns and salt.
