On Saturday, April 23, the funeral for Class of 2003 Conestoga alumnus Captain Brian Kennedy was held at Saint Patrick’s Church in Malvern. Kennedy passed away three months ago, along with 11 other Marines, when two transport helicopters collided in Hawaii (more on the accident here). Supporters lined up on the streets as Kennedy’s body was carried to his final resting place in Calvary Cemetery. Despite the gloomy weather and light rain on the day of the procession, more than a hundred people—friends, family, community members—came to celebrate Captain Kennedy’s life.
