On June 3, the Conestoga graduating class of 2025 celebrated the annual commencement ceremony. At 6 p.m., students and guests gathered at Teamer Field to celebrate the seniors’ achievements and growth at Conestoga. Principal Dr. Amy Meisinger began the ceremony by giving a speech reflecting on the changes that took place during the seniors’ time at Conestoga.
Afterwards, the senior members of Camerata sang the national anthem and later sang “Bridge Over Troubled Water” by Paul Simon accompanied by Mathew Ma on the piano.
Student council executive president Ayan Kumar reminisced on his memories as student council president in his speech and took a selfie with the graduating class from the stage. Kumar’s statement was followed by speeches from other graduates such as “Time Doesn’t Wait” by Luke Davies, “Rooted in Strength, Reaching for More” by Zion Brown and “Letter from My First Grade Self” by Ma. Following the speeches, Meisinger and Senior Class Treasurer Sydney Schwartz announced that the class would donate a new podium for the auditorium.
Once the final senior in line, Ari Madeline Zlotkin, walked off stage, it was time for the moment many had been waiting for all night. In unison, the seniors tossed their caps into the air. Cheers and applause erupted from the bleachers as Conestoga’s newest alumni set forth on the next chapters of their lives.
