Humans of Stoga: Madame Debu

“I must say, when I first moved (to America) I noticed the optimism. A lot of European countries don’t have that. Here there is a lot of optimism and a lot of that feeling of ‘oh, you can push through.’  I thought it was a very unique and good thing. If there’s one thing other countries are lacking, it would be that.”

“I don’t think that there is one specific person who has impacted me most in my life. I want to think of myself as a tree, that I have roots everywhere. Everybody contributed to the person I am today, and I have learned a little from the people I have encountered throughout my life. Everyone should be open to the possibility of changing and embracing new lessons.”
