On Tuesday night, the field hockey team defeated Harriton 3-2.

In the first quarter, both teams were at a standstill. Junior Maia Asselta scored a goal in the second quarter, leading 1-0. Harriton quickly responded by scoring a goal in the last few minutes of the quarter, tying the score 1-1 by halftime.

During the last minute of the third quarter, junior Peyton Esposito scored a goal with an assist from Asselta, ending the quarter 2-1.

During the fourth quarter, freshman Brynn Wozniak scored a goal to strengthen ’Stoga’s lead 3-1. Harriton quickly responded with another goal, bringing the score to 3-2. Ultimately, the Pioneers kept their lead and ended the game 3-2.

The girls will play their next game against Radnor on Thursday, Oct. 9.
