On Friday, the football team lost to Penncrest 40-13 during its annual homecoming game.
Penncrest started off the first quarter strong with two touchdowns by the second quarter. They then extended their lead with three more touchdowns and two extra points, leading ’Stoga 30-0 by halftime.
Penncrest continued to battle in the second half, scoring a touchdown and extra point in the third quarter that expanded their lead to 40-0.
’Stoga gave a last push in the final quarter, with junior Brian Ford scoring a touchdown and senior Rayan Irani gaining an extra point, making the score 40-7.
In the last few seconds of the game, senior Nile Holman scored a touchdown, concluding the game and narrowing the gap 40-13.
The Pioneers play their next game on Friday, Sept. 26 against Garnet Valley.
