On Tuesday, the girls’ field hockey team dominated Strath Haven 10-0.
The Pioneers started off strong during the first quarter with senior Emily Todd scoring a goal assisted by senior Aubrey DelOrefice. Junior Peyton Esposito then scored with an assist from freshman Brynn Wozniak, bringing ’Stoga up 2-0.
Early into the second quarter, junior Tori Hewitt and Wozniak each scored a goal. The girls extended their lead to 5-0 by halftime with another goal by sophomore Reagan Herrell, assisted by Todd.
During the third quarter, ’Stoga maintained its lead with sophomore Kate Bruder scoring a goal early into the second half. The girls ended the quarter 6-0.
The Pioneers continued their lead in the fourth quarter with sophomore Lily Enoch scoring a goal with an assist from Esposito, bringing the score to 7-0. The girls dominated the rest of the quarter with two goals in a row by Todd and one scored by Esposito, ending the game 10-0.
The girls will play their next game against Haverford on Thursday, Sept. 4.
