On Friday, the boys’ soccer team played their first game of the season and won 6-0 against Great Valley.
In the first few minutes of the game, senior Chaz Wildey secured the game’s first goal while senior Evan Cross assisted him. The Pioneers maintained a strong offense which helped freshman Leo Strippoli widen their lead by scoring the second goal. Wildey dominated the field as Cross assisted him again, giving the Pioneers another goal and a 3-0 lead at halftime.
The second half started off with a penalty kick by Wildey which allowed the team to grow their lead. Conestoga continued to dominate the second half with senior Remy Tshibangu scoring another point for the Pioneers. The team maintained their lead until the end with junior Ian Choi scoring a penalty kick, finishing the game 6-0.
The boys play their next game on Tuesday, Sep. 2 at Strath Haven.
