On Thursday, the baseball team played Garnet Valley and lost 9-4.
Garnet Valley took an early lead, scoring two runs in the first inning and another in the second. Both teams had strong defenses in the third inning and prevented each other from scoring.
In the fourth inning, the Pioneers gained momentum and made strong plays that allowed them to score four runs, giving them the lead 4-3. During the fifth inning, Garnet Valley scored one run and tied the game up 4-4.
Neither team scored again until the last inning, when Garnet Valley put pressure on Conestoga by scoring five runs. Ultimately, the Pioneers were unable to close the gap and lost 9-4.
The team will play their next game on May 12 against Upper Darby on senior night.
