On Thursday, seniors enjoyed their final prom at the Phoenixville Foundry from 8-11 p.m. The theme for the night was botanical gardens. The two floor venue featured a dance floor, dining area, photo booth, outdoor tent, second floor balcony and outdoor patio.
Many students packed the dance floor, raving to the DJ’s upbeat remixes and lights, while others spent time with their friends at the tables arranged on the upstairs balcony. The photo booth offered seniors the perfect setting for photos and a lasting memory of their final year.
A dining area and outdoor tent provided additional dining space to enjoy food. Fries, cupcakes, cheese platters and various other provisions were catered in a buffet style with tables of food throughout the venue, as well as refreshments. The popular ice cream bar offered numerous flavors and toppings.
The venue was decorated with warm candles and light fixtures that added an ambience to the atmosphere. The tables were covered in green tablecloths and featured a flower arrangement as their centerpiece.
Senior and prom attendee Shruti Satheesh feels bittersweet about graduating, but looks forward to stepping into a new chapter of her life.
“The best part was that me and my friends got to decompress after this whole stressful year,” Satheesh said. “I’m gonna miss all of the people over here,” Satheesh said. “It’s (Conestoga) a good place, and I’m just excited to start new at a different place. And yeah, I’m definitely gonna miss my friends.”
