After school on April 23, the Girls in STEM club and the ’Stoga Calc Crew held Conestoga’s second Integration Bee after introducing it to the school last year. The event is modeled after the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s version of the competition, allowing students to test their skills and have fun while solving integration problems.
More than 20 contestants started off with a paper test, and the eight highest-scoring students moved to the next round. The second round contestants competed in a fast-paced round where they buzzed in their answers. After 12 integration problems and a tiebreaker question, senior Vaish Anbarasan placed first, senior Dylan Mihovski placed second and freshman Dheeraj Garg placed third, with each receiving a gift card as a prize.
