On Thursday, the boys’ tennis team beat Lower Merion 6-1. With this win, the team remains undefeated.
Seniors Michael Gao and Rohan Rao won both their singles matches, 6-0, 6-2, and 6-2, 6-2, respectively. At first singles, sophomore Ethan Sun lost his first set 1-6, made an effort in the second set, but fell short and lost 6-7 (5-7) in a tiebreaker.
In the doubles matches, freshmen Sean Fan and Tristan Lubiniecki won their match 6-1, 6-3. Seniors Ethan Davidson and Jiong Li won a close match 6-1, 2-6 (6-3). Senior Lucas Montello and junior Jamie Schmitz won 6-2, 6-0. The longest match was at first doubles with senior Raphie Lubiniecki and junior Jake Tsang winning an intense game 4-6, 6-0 (6-4).
The boys will play their next game on Tuesday, April 22 against Radnor.
