On Saturday, the boys’ basketball team defeated Garnet Valley 41-33.
After letting up two points in the first quarter, senior Ben Robinson and sophomore Sunny Tummala scored multiple 3-pointers, giving Conestoga the lead to end the quarter 12-9.
In the second quarter, the score remained close between both teams. Robinson scored several 3-pointers to keep the team’s lead to end the half up 22-19.
During the third quarter, junior Rowan Miller blocked several shot attempts, and junior Shane O’Brien kept the team’s lead by scoring a 3-pointer. With a few more points scored, Conestoga ended the quarter 32-26.
In the final quarter, Miller maintained a strong defense and made several free throws. Halfway through, Garnet Valley began to narrow down Conestoga’s lead, but junior Cory Hogan and Miller scored points to keep the team’s lead, ending the game 41-33 and an overall record of 15-5.
The boys play their final game of the season against Haverford on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
