On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Conestoga cheer team competed at the 23rd annual Garnet Valley Cheer Challenge.The competition invites teams from the Central League to participate. Conestoga competed in the Super Varsity category and won first place.
Conestoga’s routine consisted of both stunts and tumbling. The team also featured basket tosses, straddle jumps, cartwheels and back handsprings in its performance. The team had a call-and-response cheer that incorporated the audience’s participation. After holding up signs spelling out “STOGA,” the team finished its routine by gathering into a formation and holding hands in the air.
