The boys’ basketball team defeated Penn Wood High School on Saturday, with a final score of 68-50.
Conestoga started off strong, with juniors Cory Hogan, Rowan Miller and Shane O’Brien and senior Ben Robinson scoring points to help the Pioneers end the first quarter with a lead of 26-12. In the second quarter, O’Brien scored two three-pointers, and Conestoga maintained its lead with a score of 40-24 at the end of the first half.
After halftime, Conestoga continued to lead Penn Wood, with a score of 55-33 by the end of the third quarter. Ultimately, the Pioneers won with a final score of 68-50.
The boys play Strath Haven next on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and are currently 7-2 in the Central League.
