On Thursday, the girls’ basketball team lost to Garnet Valley 29-24.
The Pioneers started off the game with an early lead by scoring twice, but as the period progressed, Garnet Valley gained a slight advantage of 7-4. The girls finished off the second period 16-9, with Garnet Valley still in the lead. By the end of the third period, Conestoga began to catch up, making the score 23-22. The game finished with Garnet Valley winning 29-24.
Several former players attended the game for the team’s Alumni Night. The girls will play against Radnor next on Tuesday, Jan. 7.
