The boys’ wrestling team defeated Ridley on Wednesday, with a final score of 38-28.
Ridley took the lead in the first match against the Pioneers, scoring five points. ‘Stoga made a comeback 6-5 the next match by Teddy McKenzie. Afterwards, Ridley consistently gained points, ending the sixth match 6-23. Will Derins scored three points for ‘Stoga in the seventh match, with Ridley still maintaining its lead 9-23.
Ridley scored 9-28 in the following match, the boys continuing to score after, ending the 11th match 27-28 with points won by Steven Wiechecki. The pioneers took the lead during the 12th match 33-28 and maintained their score, ending the game 38-28 with a match win by Shay Hauser.
The team will compete against Haverford on December 21.
