On Wednesday, the girls’ ice hockey team swept Radnor 7-2.
During the first period, Radnor started off by scoring an early goal within the first three minutes of the game. The Pioneers responded with their first goal scored by senior Darcy Malik. Malik then scored another with an assist from freshman Roxy Marscher, followed by a goal from freshman Reagan Spottiswoode assisted by senior Sofia Kaiser. Malik ended the period by making another goal, scoring a hat trick and bringing ’Stoga up 4-1.
The girls kept their lead during the second period with several saves by goalie and junior Charlotte Friel. Kaiser scored another goal within the last minute, ending the period 5-1 for the Pioneers.
During the last period ’Stoga furthered their lead with Malik scoring a goal assisted by junior Joanna Harris. Radnor responded by scoring their second goal, then Spottiswoode ended the game by scoring ’Stoga’s final goal during the last three minutes, finalizing the 7-2 win over Radnor.
