On Tuesday, the girls’ soccer team matched up against Marple Newtown for its Senior Night game. The girls won 3-0 and celebrated the following seniors: Keira Kemmerley, Mackenzie Hogan, Izzy Allred, Janie Lofland, Georgia Rios, Liv Spaulding, Talia Metz-Topodas, Margaux LePage, Amelie Stewart, Sydney Schwartz, Ryder Fleitas and Payton Barajas.
’Stoga struck first in the first half with junior Kate Kemmerley scoring the first goal. Keira Kemmerley scored the second goal soon after off a penalty kick. By halftime, the score was 2-0 with the Pioneers leading.
In the second half, both teams played tough defense, but ’Stoga came out on top. Kate Kemmerley scored her second goal of the night to bring the Pioneers to a 3-0 lead, which they held throughout the remainder of the match.
With their last regular season game over, the girls finish the season 16-2. After the game, the girls celebrated their seniors with gifts and cake.
