Food, music, dancing. On Tuesday, the Latino Culture Club hosted its second Hispanic/Latino Heritage Month Celebration Night from 6-8:30 p.m. to honor and celebrate Latino and Hispanic cultures.
The event was open to T/E community members for free, with a table at the entrance for attendees to create a name tag. Inside the cafeteria, flags, colorful banners and decor hung from the ceiling, and community members could view tables with informational trifolds, cultural items, dishes and drinks. Attendees could also make bracelets and color a map.
Later in the night, Latino Culture Club student leaders junior Sara Vallejo and senior Maryorie Urbina introduced a student who performed a song before teaching attendees how to dance the salsa and more.
