On Tuesday, the field hockey team faced off against Harriton. The girls started strong in the first quarter with a goal from senior Shae Wozniak and ended the quarter leading 1-0. Harriton scored a goal at the start of the second quarter, but the Pioneers returned with another three goals, increasing their lead to 4-1 by halftime.
In the third quarter, the girls maintained pressure on the ball, and Wozniak scored another goal to give Conestoga a 5-1 lead by the end of the quarter. In the final quarter with less than four minutes left, the girls scored two more goals, ending the game 7-1.
Their next game will be against Episcopal Academy on Saturday, Oct. 5 on Teamer Field.
