On Tuesday, principal Dr. Amy Meisinger sent an email to Conestoga guardians denouncing a student-managed Instagram account featuring “harmful, inappropriate and untrue” posts. The account posted “confessions” submitted by anonymous users about Conestoga students.
Earlier that day, students reported the account’s content to Conestoga staff. The email states that the administration identified the creators and is applying the Code of Conduct.
Under the 2024-25 Code of Conduct, Conestoga prohibits cases of bullying, harassment and discrimination, including “electronic abuse” involving “the self-confidence or sense of safety of a person/group without the recipients being present.”
During homeroom on Wednesday, Meisinger made a school-wide announcement about the situation condemning the account, calling on students to inform administration of any additional facts and encouraging victims to speak with counselors and mental health specialists. Currently, Instagram users cannot view the account, and administration is looking for anyone else involved.
