On Monday in the atrium, the school board recognized the 40 seniors who achieved National Merit Scholarship semifinalist status, the most of any school in Pennsylvania. Additional honors, including the National African American Merit Scholar and the National Hispanic Merit Scholar titles, were awarded as well. School board members congratulated scholars with a handshake and an adorned certificate.
