On Wednesday, the girls’ volleyball team defeated Radnor 3-2.
In the first set, Conestoga took an early lead and won the set 25-18. ’Stoga’s defense fell in the second set as Radnor took a 9-1 lead, but the Pioneers made a big comeback and managed to tie the score 20-20, with several points scored by senior Cheyenne Bird. However, ’Stoga fell short in its comeback bid, and Radnor won the set 25-21.
In the third set, ’Stoga improved its game and maintained a strong lead throughout the set, winning it 25-11. The two teams stayed relatively tied throughout the fourth set, which Radnor won 25-20. Conestoga managed to secure the victory, winning 15-10 in the final set.
The girls play their next game on Friday, Sept. 6 against West Chester East.
