Field hockey sweeps Strath Haven 9-0

The girls’ field hockey team defeated Strath Haven 9-0 on Tuesday.

The girls started strong in the first quarter, with goals scored by seniors Hannah Simon and Shae Wozniak and sophomore Peyton Esposito to secure a 3-0 lead. No goals were scored in the second quarter.

Simon and Esposito each scored two goals in the third quarter. A last-minute goal by senior Lexi Patterson brought the score to 8-0. ’Stoga finished strong in the final quarter with a goal by Esposito to win 9-0.

The girls play their next game on Friday, Sept. 6 against Notre Dame.
