Girls lacrosse dominates in second round of district playoffs 17-5

On Thursday, the girls’ lacrosse team competed against Henderson at Teamer Field in the second round of the PIAA District 1 3A Girls Lacrosse Tournament. The game began as ’Stoga scored six goals in a row by the middle of the first quarter. 

Off the turnover into the second quarter, the girls scored two penalty goals, bringing the score to 8-1. The team dominated the quarter with goals scored by seniors Chloe Brown and Abbie Preston. Henderson made a goal to make the score to 10-2.

At the start of the third quarter, ’Stoga made six more consecutive goals. Towards the end of this period, Henderson scored another point, tallying up the score to 16-3. 

Nearing the end of the game, Henderson scored two more goals, which were followed up by Brown’s fourth goal of the game. In the end, ’Stoga won 17-5.

The girls will compete again at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Downingtown East.
