On Tuesday, the girls’ lacrosse team beat Springfield 16-8. Springfield scored the first goal a few minutes into the game, but ’Stoga gained a lead to end the first quarter 4-2.
Each team scored another goal at the beginning of the second quarter, making the score 5-3. Senior Chloe Brown then scored a goal, advancing the score to 6-3. By the end of the second quarter, the score was 7-4.
’Stoga scored three more goals at the beginning of the third quarter. Then, Springfield scored a goal to make the score 10-5.
In the fourth quarter, Springfield and Conestoga traded goals to make the score 11-6. Senior Kiki Liebezeit scored the next two goals, making the score 13-6. The Pioneers held on to win 16-8.
The team’s next game will be on Thursday, May 2 against Harriton.
