On Monday, the varsity softball team won against Penncrest 14-2. ’Stoga started the game off strong, scoring six runs in the first inning. Senior Ruijia Yang, sophomore Charlotte Friel and junior Janie Lofland were among the girls who drove in runs.
In the second inning, the girls continued dominating and extended their lead to 13-0. In the third inning, the team scored one last run. Penncrest scored two runs in the first half of the fifth inning before the game ended. The final score was 14-2.
The team’s next game will be on Wednesday, May 1 against Upper Darby.
