Softball beats Springfield 8-7

On Wednesday, the varsity softball team defeated Springfield 8-7 in a back-and-forth game, making their record 6-1.

‘Stoga started off strong with a lead of 1-0 after the first inning. By the end of the fourth inning, however, Springfield led 5-3.

In the fifth inning, sophomore Charlotte Friel hit an inside-the-park home run. The lead continued to change hands until the sixth inning when Springfield failed to score. Conestoga came away with an 8-7 victory.

The team’s next game will be on Thursday, April 18 against Harriton.
