On Saturday, the boys’ varsity baseball team faced Lower Merion, defeating the team 14-9 and bringing ’Stoga’s Central League score to 2-1.
The Pioneers started the game tied to Lower Merion, with each team scoring one run. Conestoga then gained momentum, creating and maintaining a lead for the next three innings. By halftime, the boys were winning 12-5.
The Pioneers then secured two more runs in the sixth inning. Lower Merion started to make a comeback during the last inning, but the boys kept up their lead and ended the game 14-9.
They will face Garnet Valley next on Monday, April 8.
