On Friday, the girls’ varsity ice hockey team faced off against Owen J. Roberts-Spring-Ford in its last regular season game, falling short 3-1.
In the first period, the Owen J. Roberts-Spring-Ford team scored the opening goal within 10 minutes. In the following period, the team immediately scored again. However, halfway through the period, junior Sofia Kaiser scored a goal assisted by junior Darcy Malik. Owen J. Roberts-Spring-Ford responded with a goal of its own, ending the second period with Conestoga down 3-1.
Players scored no goals in the third period, and Owen J. Roberts-Spring-Ford secured a 3-1 win over ’Stoga.
Marking the last regular season game for the team, the girls end with a seasonal record of 6-10.
