On Sunday, Cup of Dreams held a cup sleeve event in celebration of the birthday of K-pop group BTS member J-Hope. Cup sleeve events are gatherings for fans to talk about their favorite K-pop group, with merch and specialized cup sleeve prints of the group available to purchase.
Cup of Dreams hosted the event alongside Bangtan in the ’Burbs, a fan group of BTS. The group has been hosting cup sleeve events since 2023 and plan to continue doing so.
“We hope people have fun (and) come to appreciate K-pop more if they don’t understand what it is,” said Susan Chang, member of Bangtan in the ’Burbs. “People just walk away happy with a nice drink and know more about a local place also.”
Cup of Dreams will be hosting a coffee and chat event with Pennsylvania Rep. Melissa Shusterman on March 18 from 9:30-11:00 a.m.
