On Saturday, the girls’ varsity basketball team faced Ridley, ultimately winning 58-23.
Ridley started the game off strong with a score of 10-3 four minutes into the first quarter. The Pioneers managed to tie the score, ending the quarter 10-10. The girls then dominated in the second quarter, widening their lead over Ridley and ending the first half up 31-10.
During halftime, the team made an announcement about cancer awareness and paid homage to those who have cancer. Throughout the game, players wore purple to represent their cause.
Following the break, the team had a strong offense, maintaining its lead 47-23. By the end of the game, the Pioneers finished with a score of 58-23.
The girls will play their next game against Lower Merion on Tuesday, Jan 30.
