The girls’ varsity basketball team played Council Rock North on Saturday, establishing an early lead and winning 53-24.
The girls started off strong during the first quarter and entered the following quarter up 12-2.
Council Rock North began to make a comeback in the second quarter, but the Pioneers continued to score. By halftime, they were still in the lead 21-10.
Following the break, the girls continued their rapid offense and widened the score to 36-16 by the end of the third quarter. With a strong offense and defense, the team won 53-24.
The girls will play their next game against Marple Newtown on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
