On Wednesday, Nov. 8, parents and students entered the auditorium for the National Honor Society (NHS) Induction Ceremony. NHS provides support to students who show leadership skills, service to the community and meet certain academic requirements.

The ceremony started with principal Dr. Amy Meisinger giving a welcome speech. After her speech concluded, NHS officers and seniors Malaika Hamid, George Zhang, Ethan Marshall and Sachin Blake delivered speeches about the four pillars of NHS: leadership, service, character and scholarship.

A total of 210 were inducted, rose to say the NHS pledge and walked on stage to collect their membership awards given by Conestoga’s assistant principals. The ceremony concluded with NHS adviser Rachel Reavy making final remarks.
