Field hockey defeats Boyertown 4-2, advances to district finals

The girls’ varsity field hockey team beat Boyertown 4-2 on Wednesday in the semifinals of the PIAA District 1 3A Field Hockey Championship. 

Boyertown scored the first goal of the game, and the Pioneers soon followed with two goals scored by junior Shae Wozniak, marking her 100th goal for the ’Stoga team. 

During the third quarter, Boyertown leveled the score to 2-2. Conestoga then bounced back in the fourth quarter, securing a 4-2 win after goals by Wozniak and junior Lexi Patterson respectively.

The girls will play in the district finals on Saturday, Nov. 4.
